We are the first and only college planners in atlanta to offer professional guidance on Social Media.

Social media has changed everything. From how we communicate, keep in touch, shop and even find a job. Today, social media is an integral part of college planning. Many college admissions professionals and scholarship committees routinely review college applicants using social media. More and more colleges are relying less on test scores and grades. Instead, these colleges evaluate a student's abilities, values, and character through their social media footprint.

Are colleges looking to catch your student doing the wrong thing? It's not that simple. There is a wide spectrum of social media policy in higher education. Some colleges may take a casual glance at your Facebook page. Other colleges harvest numerous data points to predict retention rates and future success. So what is a student to do? With the current state of social media training, most college planners advise an avoidance approach that causes many students to shy away from social media or even shut it down entirely.

In 2014, we found ourselves giving similar advice. Despite this advice being standard in the industry, we knew that it still felt wrong. After extensive research into transforming our own social media efforts, everything changed when we came across Social Assurity. We reached out to Alan Katzman, CEO of Social Assurity, and together we developed a partnership that has completely transformed how students (and the professionals that advise them) plan for college and ultimately land a job.

guidance counselors and COLLEGE PLANNING PROFESSIONALS: LET US TEACH YOU TO TAKE AN ACTIVE RATHER THAN A PASSIVE APPROACH TO SOCIAL MEDIA.

Which social media networks interact directly with the college? How can we leverage social media as a college research tool? How should you post and how often? What should you post? How do I overcome default age restrictions with certain social media platforms? There are so many questions and so many moving parts with social media, but we've developed a coherent social media strategy. Not surprisingly, many professionals in the college prep industry are simply unable to provide this type of social media training. We invite these professionals to join our team in order to bring a more well-rounded approach to college planning.

Guidance counselors, we offer public speaking engagements and group training to high schools. We can help your students become more knowledgeable and responsible with their social media habits.

College Planners, we offer a wide array of comprehensive e-courses for parents and students alike. In addition, we can set-up an in-person or phone consultation. We provide a wide range of services from an interactive social media evaluation to personalized and ongoing professional counseling.

We look forward to hearing from you!

In a world of change, the learners shall inherit the earth, while the learned shall find themselves perfectly suited for a world that no longer exists.
